The New Shinjū and Hinata’s Dark Transformation in Boruto Manga Chapter 16
Boruto Manga Chapter 16 Leak: Hinata’s Dark Transformation & New Shinjū Revealed
Many fans and content creators have been paying close attention to the new manga scan of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, which recently leaked online. This scan, thought to be a sneak peek of an upcoming chapter 16 of the Boruto manga, shows a tense scene featuring familiar characters: Sarada, Himawari, Jura, Hidari, and even Hinata.
Yes, that’s right—Hinata! These heroes find themselves in a situation filled with mystery and ominous danger. We’ll take a closer look at this scan, examining every detail and discussing what’s hidden behind these frames. We’re also introduced to the new Shinjū, and I’ll explain why Jura’s team is still missing two members from this powerful group. I can’t say for sure that this scan is 100% authentic, but it’s incredible and very logical.
And honestly, I can’t distinguish it from the original works of Ikemoto. Let’s dive into analyzing this beautiful scan.
First Frame
In this image, we see Himawari with her long black hair and large, expressive eyes. She’s staring straight ahead with a look of concern on her face. Her open expression shows a mix of surprise and mild fear as if she’s encountered something unpredictable and terrifying. Something must’ve caught her off guard, and she’s clearly not prepared for it. Her wide eyes suggest she’s on the verge of panic as if something supernatural has appeared before her. You can feel the deep anxiety and unease in her gaze. Everything points to her focus being on Hinata, whose form has suddenly appeared in front of her.
Second Frame
Here, we see Sarada sitting in dense fog, her face full of concentration and tension. She’s turned toward something in the distance, drawn by an unexpected sound and a mysterious silhouette that’s appeared far away. Her face shows alertness and suspicion; her gaze is directed backwards as if she’s sensing a chilling breath of danger. Her body freezes for a moment, signalling her readiness for the imminent threat. Sarada holds her stance, full of hidden strength and resolves like a hunter sensing every rustle in the forest. She realizes that someone is watching them, and this knowledge deeply unsettles her. At this moment, her gaze isn’t focused on Hidari or even Jura—it’s on Hinata, adding tension and mystery to the scene.
Third Frame
This frame presents a dark silhouette shrouded in an ominous mist. A low, threatening “go” sound fills the air, signalling the approach of something dreadful. Through the darkness, a piercing gaze seems to break through, hiding in the shadows. This mysterious figure is Hidari, who makes his long-awaited return after being resurrected. The sound isn’t just a random detail; it symbolizes an unknown force, growing nearer with every second. Even Hidari, upon seeing Hinata, looks stunned; her sudden appearance disrupts the calm of the scene, adding a darker and more intense atmosphere.
Fourth Frame
In the next close-up, we see Sarada again. Sweat beads up on her face, showing tension or a premonition of the battle to come. She tilts her head slightly, watching everything unfold through her glasses, her eyes sharp with unwavering concentration. Her lips are pressed tight, giving her an air of seriousness and readiness for action. At this moment, Sarada fully understands that there’s no time to relax—her gaze pierces through the scene, not leaving any corner unnoticed. Her realization that she can’t attack Hinata adds another layer of drama to the situation.
Fifth Frame
The most epic moment—the appearance of Hinata. She’s shown in a new pose in Kawaki’s dimension, looking completely different from her previous appearance. In this frame, Hinata is presented with a refreshed look, hinting at her connection to the Shinjū. Now, she has two Rinnegan, and her attire is dark and threatening, resembling the costumes worn by Hidari and Jura. This new look gives Hinata even more mystery and danger, as though she’s hiding her true intentions under this dark exterior. Her gaze is focused on Himawari and Sarada, showing that she’s not just an ally but a formidable force they’ll have to reckon with.
However, let’s go back to the previous frame to highlight an important point. It’s now clear that Sarada isn’t just turning for no reason. Her posture is slightly bent as if she’s ready to leap or defend herself. This moment emphasizes her resolve and readiness to protect those around her. Perhaps, at that same moment, Sarada and Himawari noticed Naruto, who, as we know, was sealed in this dimension along with Hinata.
Final Frame
Jura’s appearance in this frame adds another key detail. Jura is flying at incredible speed toward Hinata, but it seems she’s not his primary target. As we remember, his main goal is Naruto, and he has finally found his location. This scene is filled with the feeling of an inevitable clash, creating an atmosphere full of tense anticipation. Hinata’s unexpected appearance adds a sense of rising threat to the entire scene, as though she’s the final missing piece in Jura’s team, completing the group and intensifying the sense of impending danger.
There’s a theory explaining how many more Shinjū there could be and what colours their costumes might have. According to this theory, Code might represent the original power, pure energy, and his white karma symbolizes light and primal strength. Each of the Shinjū could be an aspect of this power, much like how light splits into different colours when passed through a prism. Code, as the “beam of light,” embodies the whole, untainted energy, which he may intend to use or transform through the Shinjū. Each one of them represents a unique aspect of this force, creating a kind of chakra and power “palette.”
Five Colors of the Shinjū
The five colours symbolize aspects of power within these Shinjū. Each might be tied to a certain type of ability or unique trait:
- Blue Shinjū: Represents wisdom and inner balance, like a hidden energy focused on deep understanding and harmony.
- Blue Shinjū: Symbolizes protective energy, fluidity, and flexibility, like a defensive barrier able to adapt to changes.
- Green Shinjū: Associated with vitality and healing properties, like a source of health and restoration.
- Yellow Shinjū: Represents the drive for equilibrium and powerful energy, like lightning, symbolizing speed and destructive force. This colour is also tied to Hidari.
- Purple Shinjū: Associated with spiritual energy, darkness, or secret techniques, pointing to mysterious, hidden abilities.
These five Shinjū have already been mentioned in the Boruto manga. However, as we know, light splitting creates not five but seven colours. This suggests that Jura’s team could have two more Shinjū members. Hinata fits perfectly into this theory, adding the missing element to the team.
The question remains about the colours of these two new Shinjū. What color would Hinata’s be? There are two possible options:
- Red Shinjū: This colour represents combat and destructive power, indicating an aggressive and warrior-like nature.
- Orange Shinjū: Often associated with energy, motivation, and determination.
Out of these two options, the red Shinjū would be the complete opposite of Hinata. I believe she’ll be this type. After all, we remember what Hinata is like in her regular life. She’s humble, shy, and kind-hearted. She often feels insecure, especially compared to more confident and bold characters like Naruto or Sasuke. However, Hinata shows incredible determination and strives to overcome her weaknesses. She’s repeatedly shown her bravery and resilience, especially when protecting her friends or caring for others.
This red Shinjū would be the opposite of that. The new Hinata will be a character with strong self-confidence, bold character, and independence. This version of her will be decisive and charismatic, without doubts about her abilities. Unlike the old Hinata, she won’t shy away from conflicts—on the contrary, she may show aggression or even dominate interactions with others.
Why Bring Up Code?
Well, Code is the creator and father of the Shinjū. It’s through his Shinjutsu that all the Shinjū were brought to life. After Isshiki Ōtsutsuki’s death, Code was entrusted with a Ten-Tails seedling. Using his Claw Marks, he created beings called Claw Grime through a process of fission. Three years later, the remnants of the Ten-Tails formed into the humanoid God Tree known as Jura. Similarly, when a Claw Grime consumes a person, it transforms into a small tree that encases the victim, eventually giving rise to a new God Tree.
Unlike the Claw Grimes or the Ten-Tails, these new God Trees each develop their distinct appearance, personality, and self-awareness, along with intelligence and desires. Those born from Claw Grimes inherit the appearance and chakra signature of the people they absorbed. As a result, they refer to themselves as sentient God Trees.
I can’t claim that this scan isn’t fake and is 100% original, but it’s just incredible and very logical.
