Himawari’s Future as Jinchuriki
Uzumaki’s Destiny and Himawari’s Awakening: The Future of Boruto’s World
Uzumaki, after inheriting the power of all the Tailed Beasts, will become the key to saving Naruto. Meanwhile, Boruto, walking his own path, will bring back his teacher, Sasuke Uchiha. And just like that, through the new generation, the legendary duo returns to the story. Let’s break everything down step by step, starting with the consequences of Boruto’s decisions.
Let’s be honest: the Boruto plot has kept us constantly on edge with its unpredictability. We could kind of guess that someone like Boruto, with his rebellious spirit, wasn’t going to blindly follow Kashin Koji’s orders forever. But the moment he actually decided to veer off that path still caught a lot of us off guard. That moment? His conversation with Kawaki.
At first, it looked like calling Kawaki into the fight was all part of some elaborate plan cooked up by Koji. But nope! It was Boruto’s own decision. His heart just couldn’t take it—seeing his friends, Sarada and the others, putting their lives on the line against the new Shinju: Hidari and Matsuri. He acted out of compassion, out of a desire to protect everyone.
And the most ironic part? His plan failed. Yes, you heard that right. Boruto’s plan didn’t go the way he intended. He wanted Kawaki to show up just in time to help take down the enemy without any unnecessary casualties. But Kawaki was late. That delay cost Yodo her life, and it was the final straw—the unbearable grief that awakened Sarada’s Mangekyo Sharingan.
Now we’re left with a tough question: whose plan was actually better? Boruto’s, where he tried to save everyone? Or Kashin Koji’s, who may have foreseen that sacrifice would be necessary for Sarada to unlock her power? From a cold, pragmatic standpoint, Koji’s plan was more “beneficial” to the bigger picture.
Boruto now has an ally with one of the strongest abilities in the world. But at what cost? Personally, this whole situation hits me right in the gut. What Boruto did was a pure reflection of who he is—he inherited that unbreakable will from Naruto, that drive to never abandon his comrades. But in the harsh shinobi world, moments like that often end in tragedy. It’s a bitter lesson Boruto had to learn the hard way.
And we can’t just blame Boruto for all of this. His distrust of Kashin Koji actually makes a lot of sense. Remember what drove a wedge between them? Koji hid something massive from Boruto—the truth that Kurama, the Nine-Tails, didn’t vanish forever but was actually reborn inside his little sister, Himawari.
Can you imagine the shock? The sense of betrayal? The person Boruto was supposed to trust most, the one who was supposed to guide him, kept the biggest secret about his own family from him. No wonder Boruto chose to go his own way after that. Now Koji’s in a bind. His most important pawn—Boruto—is no longer playing by his rules. So what now? I think Koji is going to switch tactics.
He’ll keep trying to protect Boruto’s life, but he won’t be sharing visions of the future anymore. Instead, he’ll start pulling strings elsewhere. He’s got a direct line to Shikamaru, the current Hokage, and more importantly, to Eida. Shikamaru and Eida are pragmatists. Like Koji, they’re willing to make certain sacrifices for the greater good.
Through them, Koji can keep influencing events in Konoha and beyond, steering the story the way he wants even when Boruto’s doing his own thing. All of this is turning the world of Boruto into a massive chessboard where multiple players are running their own games.
Jura’s New Objective and the Imminent Threat to Konoha
Now let’s shift to the antagonists.
In the latest chapters, Jura—the leader of the Shinju—learned something that changes everything. He found out that Naruto Uzumaki is alive. Up until now, his target was Boruto and his mysterious ally, Kashin Koji. But now? Now he’s got his sights set on something way more tempting. Naruto, at least in Jura’s mind, is the vessel of all the Tailed Beasts. A legendary hero. A source of insane chakra.
To Jura, who’s hell-bent on absorbing the Otsutsuki, Naruto is the ultimate prize. His hunt for Koji is getting bumped down the priority list. Now he’s putting all his energy into finding the Seventh Hokage. But how? Naruto is sealed in another dimension, and the only one who knows where he is is Kawaki. And there’s no way Kawaki’s giving that up. He’d die before he tells anyone where Naruto is. But Jura’s got another way. And he knows it.
The answer is Eida’s all-seeing Senrigan.
So here’s the setup. Jura has two options: either he kidnaps Eida and forces her to reveal Naruto’s location, or he lets one of his “clones,” like Matsuri, absorb Eida and take her power for himself. Kishimoto and Ikemoto didn’t introduce the Senrigan just for fun.
They’ve been planting the seeds for this twist from the very start. Koji’s warning to Eida that the Shinju are after her wasn’t just some throwaway line. It was a warning shot. The Shinju are coming for Eida not just because she’s a powerful cyborg, but because she’s the key to their ultimate goal. Which means one thing: the next big battle is most likely going to happen in Konoha.
The Shinju are going to strike right at the village’s heart to get to Eida. And that’s going to create the perfect storm for other characters like Sumire to finally jump into the fight. Her true potential is still untapped, but this attack on Konoha might just become her defining moment. I also believe that her beast, Nue, could become a catalyst for awakening Boruto’s Jougan, but that’s a topic for another conversation.
All the visions of the future that Kashin Koji showed us—Himawari fighting someone, Hidari closing in on Sarada—will most likely take place in Konoha during this upcoming attack. Jura’s overconfidence and reliance on Shinju roots hint at flaws—exactly the kind of insight you’ll find in our analysis of Code’s critical role.
The Incredible Potential of Himawari
And now we come to the most exciting and crucial part of our theory: Himawari Uzumaki.
The “apple doesn’t fall far from the tree” principle applies here more than ever. The way Kurama ended up inside Himawari is painfully reminiscent of Naruto’s own story. But this is not just a repetition. It’s an evolution.
From an early age, Himawari had a unique connection with the Tailed Beasts. We all remember her touching friendship with Shukaku, the One-Tailed Beast. That was already a clear hint that this girl shares a special bond with the Bijuu.
The author is slowly reintroducing key elements from the original story. First, we see Himawari’s close connection with Shukaku, and then, in the time skip, we learn about Kurama’s rebirth inside her. Shukaku and Kurama were the first two Tailed Beasts we were introduced to in Naruto. This is no coincidence. It’s preparation for what’s to come.
The other seven Bijuu are currently absent from the stage, and I’m certain that their appearance will be connected to Himawari. And here enters a figure of truly legendary proportions—Hagoromo Otsutsuki, the Sage of the Six Paths.
The cycle of Indra and Ashura’s reincarnations is complete. Sasuke managed to overcome the curse of hatred, and the souls of Hagoromo’s sons have finally found peace.
But the world is in danger again, more so than during Kaguya’s time. Hagoromo himself said he could cross time to bring order to different eras. He observed Hashirama and Madara, helped Naruto and Sasuke. And now, with the fate of the world at stake, his intervention seems more than likely.
I believe Hagoromo will return, but this time his mission will be different. He won’t be looking for new reincarnations of his sons. He will make Himawari into what Naruto once was—the “meeting place” for all nine Tailed Beasts. He will make her the Jinchuriki of all the Bijuu.
Honestly, just thinking about it gives me chills. Imagine Himawari possessing not only Kurama’s chakra, but the power of all the other Tailed Beasts.
But this won’t be a simple copy of her father’s strength. Hagoromo may grant her his own version of the Six Paths Power. Remember how Naruto used that power to save Might Guy from certain death after opening the Eight Gates? That was just a small demonstration of its potential. The fight between Naruto and Sasuke against Kaguya was over quickly.
But Hagoromo and his brother Hamura fought their mother for months! Can you imagine the full extent of the power they used? We never saw the full potential of the Sage Mode.
Himawari could be the one to show us this power in all its glory—not as a Healer, but as a Warrior.
The New Byron Mode and Tenseigan
It would be a huge mistake and a creative failure to make Himawari just a supporting character, a Healer of sorts. That would be an insult to the legacy of the Tailed Beasts, especially Kurama, the strongest of them all.
No, her role will be much more significant. Don’t forget, Himawari has the Byakugan! The combination of Jinchuriki power and the Hyuga clan’s dojutsu already makes her an incredibly powerful fighter.
But I’ll go further. Given her lineage—Uzumaki, Hyuga, and through them Otsutsuki—she has a real chance of awakening the legendary Tenseigan.
As of now, we know only two users of it: Hamura and Toneri. Himawari could be the third. Imagine a warrior possessing the power of nine Bijuu, the Byakugan, and the Tenseigan. This is power that could even rival Jura.
And the most interesting part is the concept of the Byron Mode. We saw what Naruto was capable of in this mode, but the price was too high—Kurama’s life.
However, Himawari’s case may be different. Her connection to Kurama already seems different, more like a symbiosis. What if she can enter Byron Mode without the deadly side effects?
Moreover, what if she can create unique “Byron Modes” with each of the nine Tailed Beasts? Just think about that possibility! Against an enemy using magnetism, she would activate Shukaku’s Byron Mode, gaining absolute control over sand and sealing techniques. The narrative is expanding beyond just Momoshiki and Kinshiki—new Otsutsuki clans are being revealed, reshaping the cosmic scale of the conflict.
Against a fast opponent, she would activate Matatabi’s Byron Mode, enveloping herself in blue flames and moving at lightning speed. Isobu’s Byron Mode for water techniques and defense, Son Goku’s Byron Mode for lava attacks, Kokuo’s Byron Mode for steam power and physical strength.
She would be able to switch between these modes depending on the situation, like a master switching tools.
This wouldn’t just be power; it would be absolute tactical flexibility. Her appearance would change, merging with the traits of each Bijuu, creating truly unique and spectacular forms. This is a brilliant narrative choice that would allow the Tailed Beasts to be revealed in a new light and give Himawari a fighting style like no one else’s.
Of course, none of this will happen immediately. Right now, Himawari is still too young.
But the story is moving forward. When Boruto is around 20, Himawari will be 16–17 years old—the same age Naruto was when he took on the burden of saving the world. By that time, she will be ready to accept the power and wisdom that Hagoromo will pass on to her.
The Return of the Legends
Now, let’s piece together the puzzle and look at the bigger picture I’ve painted.
Mission 1: Himawari saves Naruto. Jura and the Shinju arrive in Konoha for Eida, to find Naruto. This attack becomes the catalyst. In the heat of battle, when all seems lost, Hagoromo intervenes. He unites all the Tailed Beasts inside Himawari, granting her incredible power and telling her that Jura is a defective monster, and truly dangerous.
It is Himawari, in her new form, who becomes Konoha’s main defender. She doesn’t just repel the attack; she directly confronts Jura. Her goal isn’t necessarily to kill him, but to weaken him, protect the village, and, most importantly, prevent him from reaching the dimension where her father is sealed. She becomes a living shield for Naruto, and her newly acquired power becomes the key to breaking Kawaki’s beliefs. After all, only Kawaki is unable to protect Naruto and Hinata.
Mission 2: Boruto saves Sasuke. While Himawari holds the defense in Konoha, Boruto has his own, equally important mission. His path leads to rescuing his teacher, Sasuke, who was turned into a tree by one of the Shinju. He will help Sarada defeat Hidari and bring Sasuke back into the storyline.
Now I want to hear from you. Do you agree with this interpretation of future events? Do you believe Himawari will become the Jinchuriki of all the Tailed Beasts? Which of the imagined “Byron Modes” would you most like to see Himawari use? Or maybe you have your own, completely different theory about how Naruto and Sasuke will return?
Thank you so much for reading Boruto Manga all the way to the end. See you in the next article!
