Kawaki’s Power Boost and Boruto’s Shinjutsu Evolution in Two Blue Vortex
Boruto Manga: Kawaki’s Karma Boost & Boruto’s Shinjutsu Explained
After the time skip, Kawaki no longer appears as the ruthless and powerful being he once was in the manga. He was one of the strongest characters in previous chapters, possibly even in the top three after regaining his Karma. However, in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, his power is significantly weakened, and characters like Mitsuki, Jura, and even Boruto easily defeat him.
Fans recently realized that Amado intentionally did this, as Kawaki now seems limited by his Karma’s powers, which are under Amado’s control. In this article, I will discuss how Kawaki will receive this power boost, what abilities it will grant him, and how it will affect the development of the manga.
In reality, Kawaki’s entire motivation revolves around one goal — to protect Naruto. This is why he is willing to kill Boruto, destroy Code, and even sacrifice himself. His actions have no selfish motives; instead, they are entirely driven by love for Naruto, and he is ready to give up his life, knowing that his teacher will be safe.
At first, one might think that Amado wanted to prevent Kawaki’s death, but I believe things are much more complicated. Amado deliberately weakened Kawaki’s offensive capabilities to preserve his daughter’s Karma within him. Amado has long known that Kawaki is Kawaki and Boruto is Boruto.
He is a genius who deceived Isshiki and an entire organization of villains for years. He knows everything about Eida’s abilities, and it was no coincidence that he replaced his eyes with a ninja device, as mentioned in the manga. Let’s remember that Amado has an ace up his sleeve. All cyborgs have a stop word to deactivate them at Amado’s will.
All the threats against him and his apparent fear were part of Amado’s act for the public, ensuring his plan proceeded smoothly. Amado is planning something more significant than simply keeping Kawaki alive.
Before losing his Karma, Kawaki could reach the V2 Karma state, mainly due to his desperation and desire to protect Naruto from Isshiki. Amado likely realized that Kawaki’s strength is tied to his emotions and that Karma, which enhances his abilities, develops best when activated through his emotional experiences and turmoil.
Amado always knew how to return Kawaki’s Karma, and his method was to place him in situations where he would need power. Amado likely predicted that Kawaki would try to escape the village to save Naruto and would be willing to sacrifice himself to protect those close to him. Given the growing threat from Code, who has targeted Naruto, this moment is inevitable.
Now, the question arises: why didn’t Kawaki receive the full Kokugan from the beginning? He was the perfect candidate for Isshiki’s Karma, and his eye, instead of being white like Jigen’s, was yellow-orange like Isshiki’s, even without Karma activation.
However, Kawaki started with a single triangle in his eye, possibly due to Amado’s influence. It is known that Amado imposed restrictions on Kawaki’s physical abilities, and he likely limited his genetic potential for power, which is why Kawaki started with an incomplete version of the Kokugan.
However, as we see in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, Kawaki has overcome these limitations and unlocked all three triangles in his eye. As I mentioned before, these represent the eight paths that will be accessible to his eye. I have already discussed all eight abilities of the Kokugan in a separate video, which I recommend you watch.
This shows that during the time skip, Kawaki experienced numerous emotionally charged moments that helped him gradually overcome all the barriers set by Amado. It’s important to note that Amado likely knew this would happen. This was part of his carefully crafted plan.
Amado understood that after facing specific trials, Kawaki would begin thinking not about finding compromises but about gaining new strength. Let’s discuss Kawaki’s Karma and explore why I believe this power will have three levels.
To understand this, we need to look at the history of past generations and the events involving Naruto and Sasuke. Let’s start with how strength manifested in the Nine-Tails Chakra Mode, the abilities received by the jinchūriki, which undoubtedly had several stages. This mode was deeply connected to how Naruto interacted with Kurama’s chakra and how well he could control the power of his tailed beast.
Let’s focus on Sasuke and his mark, which resembles Karma. I’m talking about the Cursed Seal of Heaven, which gave Sasuke immense power but posed a risk of losing control. At first, he could use the seal at will, but soon, it began to spiral out of control, and Kakashi had to seal it. After Kakashi intervened, Sasuke could partially subdue the Cursed Seal and use it effectively in battle.
When he faced the Sound Four, he agreed to a method that could raise his seal to V2, and ultimately, he agreed to become Orochimaru’s pupil to gain more power for revenge against his brother, Itachi. It’s important to note that Sasuke and Naruto always had more than one form of power.
Each of them had at least three levels of strength or unique abilities. For example, Sasuke had his Sharingan and Rinnegan, Susanoo, and various levels of the Chidori technique. The same applies to Naruto. He had this repetition with Kurama, Rasengan, and even various forms of Senjutsu chakra.
In this context, we can always identify three levels of strength: minimum, medium, and maximum. Sometimes, heroes even reach levels that surpass the maximum limit, as seen with Naruto’s Baryon Mode. This supports the hypothesis that Kawaki and Boruto’s Karma will have three forms.
As Code said in the manga, only complete control of the Karma grants full power. Full control is the third form of Karma. I suspect the third form of Karma will grant Kawaki Isshiki knowledge and an almost unbeatable body similar to Isshiki’s. Kawaki, like Isshiki, will receive a new eye to add to his arsenal.
After all, Isshiki had Kokugan and Byakugan, while Kawaki only had the Kokugan. Additionally, the third form of Karma will give Kawaki significant chakra reserves, comparable to those of other Otsutsuki members, as he currently lacks such reserves. This was emphasized before and after the time skip in the manga, further strengthening my theory.
As for Boruto, his journey will be much more thrilling. He has already fully merged with Momoshiki, which has been confirmed multiple times in the manga. But the most interesting part is that they now share one consciousness, and Boruto can use Momoshiki’s power, including his unique Shinjutsu, which allows him to see the future.
This ability is revealed even before the time skips when Boruto accidentally sees his fate. This indicates that Boruto will develop his own Shinjutsu, and his power will resemble that of Kashin Koji. After all, Momoshiki’s abilities are very similar to Kashin Koji’s, which gives us an essential insight into Boruto’s potential in the third form of Karma.
But the power doesn’t stop there. Merging with Momoshiki and the fourth form of Karma will grant Boruto access to chakra and techniques and a powerful Dojutsu. In the third form of Karma, I believe Boruto will not only master the Jōgan but also the Rinnegan. After all, Momoshiki had both Byakugan and Rinnegan and Boruto, instead of Byakugan, will have Jōgan.
This means Boruto will likely possess both Rinnegan and Jōgan simultaneously, granting him access to incredible abilities, including Momoshiki’s Rinnegan powers, such as technique absorption and returning them in an enhanced form, as Momoshiki did.
In conclusion, regarding Kawaki and Boruto, we can assert that their powers will continue to evolve and develop, and their paths will be intertwined with the immense power they gained through Karma and merging with mighty genes. Despite temporary limitations, Kawaki will develop his strength and overcome the barriers set by Amado, reaching new heights in his power and control over Karma.
Like Naruto, he will exemplify how emotions, inner struggles, and self-sacrifice can be catalysts for transformation. Meanwhile, Boruto, having integrated Momoshiki’s power into his body, will begin to develop his own Shinjutsu and acquire unique abilities that will make him one of the most dangerous and unpredictable characters in the manga, just like Sasuke.
Their paths will intertwine with those who came before them. Amidst the significant changes in their abilities, they will move forward, uncovering hidden potentials and keeping fans intrigued by every new plot twist.
