Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Core 3 – Latest Updates and What to Expect at Anime Expo 2024
I want to post a quick blog before the Anime Expo this Saturday, as we’ve just had some new information released about Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Core 3. So, we’re going to recap all of the information that we know about Anime Expo 2024, along with all of the accompanying reveals that we’ll be getting. There’s been a massive announcement today about the Core 3 opening and ending songs, which are, in fact, going to be revealed a few hours after the Anime Expo 2024 panel for Bleach.
So join us as we’ll be talking about what we can expect from Anime Expo 2024 if the Bleach panel is going to be live-streamed, along with the opening and ending songs being revealed in two new preview teaser trailers. Also, is there any hope for additional information about the Bleach anime’s 20th anniversary revealed at the Anime Expo? The 20th anime anniversary of Bleach may hint towards some special OVA Bleach episodes or even a new Bleach movie. If we are really hopeful, we may be getting a Bleach anime reboot so that you know all there is to know about Bleach at Anime Expo 2024.
To quickly recap, on the 30th of May, Viz announced that Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Core 3 will have a panel at Anime Expo 2024, and this will be titled the Conflict Panel. This panel is happening on the 6th of July at 10:00 a.m. LA time, which will run for 1 hour and 20 minutes, wrapping up at 11:20 a.m. The voice actors of Udu and Hashad will host the panel. Now, the Viz Twitter post had initially teased fans not to miss major announcements around Bleach, along with a sneak peek of Core 3 during the panel.
The Anime Expo panel schedule for 2024 revealed some new information via a panel description. This panel description states that the three English voice actors will be revisiting moments from both Core 1 and Core 2. This is important as it states that there will be two teasers. Firstly, it said that there would be a major announcement about the Bleach Expo, and secondly, there would be a sneak peek of Core 3 on the panel. We all know that there is going to be news and previews about Core 3, and I’m assuming that they have something to do with the 20th anniversary of the Bleach anime.
As with most Anime Expo Bleach panels, there are also going to be giveaways and prizes as fans are urged to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Bleach anime. In an earlier blog, I wrote about how this panel for Core 3 is similar to the one that we had for Core 1 because, in the 2022 Anime Expo panel, there were three English voice actors present with the voice actors for Rukia, Byakuya, and Renji hosting the panel. At the Bleach panel at Anime Expo 2022, we did, in fact, get a new trailer for Core 1. This panel happened on the 2nd of July 2022, as it had announced that Core 1 will be airing in October 2022.
The Core 3 teaser or preview that we’ll be getting on Saturday at Anime Expo will tease us about what month in the year we’ll be getting Core 3 of the anime. We may get some comments made by the anime staff or even a special message from Kubo because this is what happened at the 2022 Bleach mainstage panel. This year’s panel is going to be shaping up to be very similar to the one that we had for Core 1. Additional information about what we can expect from Bleach was revealed today on the Bleach animation Twitter page, as it was announced that the Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Arc anime will be showing new information along with a new trailer on the 7th of July 2024.
If you have a look at the Aniplex YouTube Channel, there are two new upcoming Bleach previews for the 7th of July. They’re scheduled for 2:00 a.m. UK time or 10:00 a.m. Japanese time. So we’ve covered that the Anime Expo panel is going to be happening on Saturday at 6:00 p.m. UK time, and these two preview teaser trailers are dropping 8 hours later at 2:00 a.m. UK time. Because of the 8-hour difference between the Anime Expo panel and the release of these two preview teaser trailers on YouTube, James Hunson has speculated that these preview teasers are not going to be shown at Anime Expo. Instead, at the Bleach main stage panel at Anime Expo, we’re going to be getting an episode teaser from Core 3. This may be 2 to 4 minutes of one of the episodes from Core 3, which attendees of the Anime Expo can experience for the first time. Again, James reiterates that this is because the Bleach panel will be at 2:00 a.m. Japan time on Sunday, whereas these two new preview teaser trailers drop at 10:00 a.m. Japanese time on the same day.
Earlier in the week, we had some unfortunate but not unexpected news: the Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Core 3 Anime Expo panel will not be live-streamed on the YouTube channel of the Anime Expo. We’re either going to have to wait for somebody who’s attending the event to live-tweet what’s going on or for the official Viz Media and Bleach anime accounts to release the new information that’s revealed at Anime Expo. I really do hope that somebody’s done an infiltration mission and breaks into the Anime Expo panel and live-streams on the phone, hopefully, so that all of us who are not attending can see what’s going on. I know that this is what had happened at Dragon Ball. The panel wasn’t live-streamed, much to everyone’s disappointment, but there was one guy who managed to sneak into the event and was recording the new Dragon Ball Diamond trailer as it was being revealed. It definitely was a surreal thing to experience, as the guy who was live-streaming just wouldn’t shut up throughout the entire recording.
In terms of additional teasers, the Bleach animation Twitter page did, in fact, reveal a sneak preview of the Bleach Core 3 opening song. They also showed a short sneak peek of the ending song that will be used for Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Core 3. Now, to clarify, the third preview teaser trailer is going to be a normal trailer. In contrast, the fourth preview teaser is going to be centred around the all-new opening and ending songs, which hopefully will reveal to us who exactly is going to be singing the songs and what songs they are going to be. At the moment, we only have a few seconds of the opening and ending to go off of, but hopefully, this fourth preview teaser trailer song will showcase to us just how the opening and ending song is going to sound for Core 3.
So, a lot of information has been released about Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Core 3, but we still don’t know much about the Bleach anime’s 20th anniversary. Is Studio Pierrot going to be releasing special Bleach episodes just like they have been releasing with the Naruto anime, or are we going to be getting an entirely different surprise, like a Bleach anime reboot or an all-new Bleach movie? Hopefully, we do get some information about this 20th anniversary at Anime Expo, and hopefully, these previews for Core 3 showcase to us the incredible work that Pierrot Films has been doing, as they have now been revealed to be taking over the production of Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War anime.
To help you build up the hype for Core 3, Bleach is going to be finally getting some brand new information about Core 3 over the weekend. We’re going to be getting at least two new preview teaser trailers, and from what I have heard, there’s also going to be a new key visual released at the Anime Expo panel. Now, being really optimistic, I do hope that we get some Bleach anime 20th-anniversary information because the last that we heard about this new anime anniversary was back in March of this year. It’s been quite a long time since all of you have been waiting. It’s almost a year since Core 2 wrapped up, and we’ve had very little information about Core 3. It seems like interest is dying out for Bleach, but I assure you that the people behind the anime have been working incredibly hard. The previews that we’ll be getting over the weekend are definitely going to meet your expectations.
So, for now, check out the preview for the opening and the preview for the ending. Let me know your thoughts about the Bleach anime: Thousand-Year Blood War Core 3 information that we’ve been getting. What do you expect from the Anime Expo panel? Are you excited to see the third preview teaser trailer and the fourth preview teaser trailer? Also, I’d love to know your thoughts about the short previews for the opening and ending. Can you guys make out anything from the short previews? I definitely do love the vibe of the music, but again, there’s only so much that you can go off of when you’ve only got 5 to 7 seconds worth of audio to listen to.
I look forward to reading all of your thoughts. This was just a quick pre-Anime Expo blog, and hopefully, it will get all of you ready for the events that are going to be happening over the weekend. I cannot wait to see you in my next Bleach news and updates blog, which is going to be on the 6th of July and on the 7th of July.
