Boruto Two Blue Vortex Chapter 17 Spoilers – Jura Invades Konoha
Boruto Chapter 17 Spoilers: Jura’s Invasion, Ten Tails Mystery, and Shibai’s Legacy
So we have the early spoilers for Boruto Two Blue Vortex Chapter 17 wild beast cubs, and based on what we’re seeing here, Jura has invaded the village—but not in the way that you might think. However, we do have a few things to discuss, so of course, let’s get into it.
Jura is now in the village, and he’s going through the bookshelves, taking in all the information that he can. This was predicted by Kashin Koji in Chapter 16 of the Boruto manga when he said that Jura might not attack the village because he didn’t want to destroy the books within the libraries. If a fight does break out, you can assume that some Bijuu bombs will be fired, potentially obliterating the entire village. Koji also advised that everyone should be safe if no one attacks Jura and suggested they allow him to do whatever he wants because, at this point in the story, no one is strong enough to stand against him.
All those theories about Daemon secretly being the strongest and simply not interested in Jura because he’s not powerful enough have been debunked. What’s most interesting here, though, is the origin of this Ten Tails and why it’s so powerful. It has something to do with Shibai.
Now, I want to address some confusion about why Jura wants to read books and consume information. This ties back to what the Ten Tails itself does. As you know, the goal of the Ten Tails is to consume the life of a planet, which includes the chakra and energy of every living thing. But it also consumes information. This connects to the concept of the chakra fruit, which is essentially a lump of tremendous energy and genetic information.
Jura is the incarnation of the Ten Tails itself—that’s what he stems from. So, he also needs to consume an Otsutsuki and transform it into a God Tree to absorb all of this information. Until then, Jura has found a way to gather information by reading books, which is the best way to collect data aside from consuming an entire planet.
If you, the reader, want to understand why the Shinju do the things they do, you should look back at the entities they are based on. Some traits are mirrored, while others are inverted. For instance, the Ten Tails is often portrayed as a mindless entity, while Jura seems to be very intelligent. Similarly, Sasuke is known for his intelligence, while Hidari is the opposite of that. Bug, who is timid and cowardly, contrasts with the aggressive and brash Bug Shinju Mamushi. The same goes for Matsuri and the Ryu Shinju. By following this blueprint, readers can uncover the motivations and traits of these characters.
Now, returning to why I think Jura is as strong as he is, it relates to why the Ten Tails in Boruto are more potent than the ones in Naruto. I overlooked this detail in my earlier blog explaining the Ten Tails’ power. Still, if you revisit the chapter titled “Defection,” where Amado first arrives at the village, he explains that the Ten-Tails in Jigen’s dimension is a different specimen than the one they battled. He even mentioned that he doesn’t know where these Ten Tails come from.
This is intriguing because why would Amado clarify that he doesn’t know the origin of the Ten Tails when it should be evident that it belongs to Isshiki? After all, it’s in his dimension. Amado, being as knowledgeable as he is about the Ten Tails and the Otsutsuki, should have logically concluded this. Yet, he didn’t.
The most plausible explanation, in my opinion, is that the writer—whether Ikemoto or Kodachi—was hinting that this Ten Tails doesn’t belong to Isshiki. If that’s the case, whose Ten Tails is it? The most likely answer is that these Ten Tails belonged to Shibai Otsutsuki.
This theory also addresses an inconsistency regarding Isshiki’s death. When Isshiki turned to dust, the rods he used to hold down the Ten Tails didn’t disintegrate. This contrasts with what happened when Boruto’s Rasengan destroyed Momoshiki—the rods pinning Naruto vanished immediately. So why didn’t Isshiki’s rods disintegrate?
The most obvious answer is that Isshiki wasn’t the one who originally pinned down this Ten Tails. This leads me to believe that this Ten Tails was the one Shibai used to consume multiple planets over millennia, which would explain why the Shinju are so powerful.
Some might argue that this contradicts the idea that a single Ten Tails can only produce one chakra fruit per planet. However, this assumption doesn’t align with Isshiki’s instructions to Code. Isshiki told Code to feed Boruto or Kawaki to the Ten Tails, consume the chakra fruit, and evolve. He then said—and this is crucial—that Code should devour planet after planet across space, continuously growing until he becomes a peerless, unique existence—a god.
This implies that the Ten Tails can be reused on different planets to absorb their energy. While some might counter that the Ten Tails in Jigen’s dimension appears juvenile, this isn’t a contradiction. After producing a chakra fruit, the Ten Tails reverts to a more diminutive form as it gradually regains the chakra.
Code outright stated that the Ten Tails was just a lump of chakra, and then the Ten Tails proceeded to get smaller in size the more clogs Code created using lumps from the Ten Tails. Now, a possible counter to this would be to say that if this Ten Tails was indeed the one Shibai used to consume planets, wouldn’t it also be the case that the Ten Tails had already consumed an Otsutsuki? So why would the Ten Tails need to consume an Otsutsuki to turn into the God Tree?
The funny thing about this is that it was also hinted at in Shibai’s backstory. As stated by Amado, Shibai underwent multiple karmic resurrections in his quest to consume various planets. This implies that for every instance of a chakra fruit being produced, an Otsutsuki also needs to be consumed. That’s why Jura—or the original Ten Tails—still needs an Otsutsuki to consume the planet.
All of that is to say that the reason why Jura is so mighty to the point where they have to let him do whatever he wants, and even the cyborgs that possess the cells of a literal god can’t stand against him, is likely because he also possesses the chakra of this god. Even though the Ten Tails in the past created multiple chakra fruits and passed on that power and genetic information to Shibai, it still retains some of that power, including Shibai’s own power, since he fed himself to that Ten Tails multiple times.
This also brings us back to Jigen. I’m sure a lot of you aren’t going to like this, but it also implies that the reason Jigen went to that Ten Tails to consume chakra from a juvenile Ten Tails to fight Naruto is because that chakra is way more potent than the typical juvenile Ten Tails.
It makes perfect sense because everyone was wondering: why would Jigen consume chakra from a juvenile Ten Tails that hasn’t consumed an Otsutsuki or the chakra of a planet? How would that help him against Naruto, who fought Kaguya, who possessed a fully grown Ten Tails that had the power of a planet? The chakra was so potent that Jigen instantly transformed into his strongest form, with steam emitting from his body.
If the Shibai theory is indeed true regarding the Ten Tails, it would explain a lot. Of course, we’ll see.
I also wanted to point out a panel with Kaguya being surrounded by multiple God Trees. There’s also an episode where Moegi is on a planet with numerous God Trees as well. I don’t know if this implies that even on a singular planet if the planet is big enough, you might need to replant the Ten Tails multiple times to get different chakra fruits.
This implies they are using multiple chakra fruits, but that isn’t the case. Even back in Naruto, the Ten Tails were able to separate themselves from the God Tree. The God Tree was outside, while the Ten Tails itself was inside the Ten Tails Jinchuriki—that being Madara and Jubito.
The most likely case is that the Ten Tails is able to separate itself from the God Tree and then be planted again to create another God Tree. Now, I could be wrong again, of course—these are just assumptions—but this came to mind when I saw Jura in the village from the leaks.
He’s just lounging about, and no one can step on him—not Boruto, not Kawaki (who has the Karma seal of Isshiki and is going to get his limiters removed), and not even Daemon, who some believe to be stronger than Isshiki himself. For some reason, Kashin Koji doesn’t think he can stop Jura, so clearly, that isn’t the case.
Of course, some people mention the reflection ability and so on, and even if you assume there’s no counter to the reflection (which there might be), that means absolutely nothing. All that implies is that Jura can’t kill him, not that he can kill Jura.
So again, Jura is the current strongest in the Boruto manga series, and there’s no way around it. With that said, let me know your thoughts on the spoilers. Of course, the full spoilers are going to drop the following Monday, probably, and you’ll get your article on that as well.
