Boruto Two Blue Vortex 2025 Predictions

It has been an excellent year for Boruto manga, as many new things happened, and we learned new stuff. But as we slowly start to understand the direction the story is heading, I want to write this blog about predictions for 2025. There will be 12 chapters, and the last few months have been more about understanding specific details. 2025 will be all about action.

First, I want to talk about the fact that I expect, quite soon—even in the first chapters of the new year—to see at least one person unsealed from one of those trees. This is because the last chapter revealed what needs to be done with the Shinju soul for that person to be released.

I don’t expect Matsuri to disappear so quickly, as there will likely be an interesting story surrounding her and Konohamaru. Since it was revealed that a Shinju can feel love for someone, this could change the situation, even though, at first, Konohamaru is focused on completing the mission. Especially considering what Shikamaru said about killing her when she’s not paying attention, I expect there might be something more between them later.

I’m not going as far as to predict a relationship between the two, but Konohamaru could quickly grow attached to her, and when the right moment comes, he might not be able to kill her. This could also work the other way around—if someone threatens Konohamaru’s life, Matsuri might protect him.

One of the most interesting moments is when Bug or Hidari approaches them to reveal their true identities. Konohamaru states that they are also looking for Boruto because he’s a traitor, but Hidari remembers very well what happened—specifically, that Konohamaru himself defended Boruto from him. Thus, we might even see a fight between Matsuri, trying to protect Konohamaru and Hidari.

I think that Bug’s clone will likely fight Daemon, and that’s when we’ll see whether the clone is immune to Daemon’s reflection ability or is just resistant to Ada’s powers. If Sasuke actually controls Hidari’s body, he might secretly be working with Sarada and the others to take them down. When sent to the Land of Wind to investigate, he can keep quiet and stick to the original plan, or he might be killed again, leading to Sasuke being unsealed.

But since we’re talking about unsealing, you know who I’d love to see return—even for a short time? Well, Naruto. It’s been such a long time since we last saw him, and it will be fascinating if Jura, through the knowledge he acquires, manages to free Naruto. This might only happen if Jura threatens the others, declaring that he’ll destroy everything in his path and kill everyone unless they bring Naruto to him for a discussion.

In my previous article, Naruto would be the most suitable person to talk to Jura and help him somewhat understand friendship and fight for what you believe is right. Remember how confused Sasuke was back in the day? Well, Orochimaru helped him by summoning the previous Hokage. Hashirama shared the entire story of the Shinobi world with Sasuke, which somewhat changed his mindset—not entirely for the better since he still wanted to rule the world. But perhaps something similar could happen with Jura. By seeking answers from Naruto, Jura might change the direction of his actions.

However, this wouldn’t necessarily be a change for the better. For instance, he might abandon the idea of destroying the planet but instead decide he wants to rule it.

The rematch between Himawari and Jura will likely happen in 2025, but not before she advances in power. An essential aspect is the fact that Kurama is back in the series. However, there have been almost no mentions of him. That’s because we will see specific interactions between him and other characters.

Most likely, it will be Sakura. She would be the most suitable to train Himawari in perfect chakra control. This way, Himawari can harness this new power for her and all of us. Never before has a beast and a human been a single soul. With enough training, we might see the Baryon Mode again; this time, it wouldn’t be fatal.

Naruto and Kurama had to clash their chakra cores to create this nuclear mode, but with Himawari and Kurama being the same, this fatal clash wouldn’t be necessary anymore. I would like to see a dialogue between him and Sakura, where he reveals the truth, and Himawari learns the full truth about Boruto.

At that moment, we might also see whether Sakura and Sarada had a good relationship during these three years of the time skip. The two might have fought. We haven’t seen them together at all.

But when will Himawari get the chance to fight Jura? Well, anytime if she leaves the village. Kashin Koji mentioned that if Himawari leaves the town, it’s game over for her and Boruto.

Jura wants to kill those two. Thus, when Boruto and Kawaki are overwhelmed—or perhaps someone else—Himawari will awaken this new mode, and we’ll see her in action again. Continuing that Jura wants to kill Boruto, Kashin Koji tells him that he should never leave the hideout. Humanity cannot afford to lose Boruto so quickly. But the very fact that he said this, and knowing the nature of Minato and Naruto, it’s clear that Boruto won’t listen.

At some point, in three or four chapters, I predict that he will leave the hideout and fight someone. When that happens, Shikamaru won’t know what to do anymore, and the others even less so. They will once again need Boruto. Let’s not forget that Boruto has continuously saved everyone throughout this chapter. Also, we should remember that Kashin Koji can see every possible future. If he stated that Jura kills Boruto in all of them, does that mean Boruto won’t awaken the Jougan in time?

This seems to contradict what was said a while ago—namely, that specific actions can create a new future, a new timeline to follow. Thus, I think the only solution would involve either Momoshiki or Jougan. However, even with Momoshiki’s power, I don’t believe Boruto could defeat Jura. Jura operates on an entirely different level from Momoshiki.

Since we’ve brought him up, it’s clear that I expect to see him again in 2025. Momoshiki was a central focus in the first part, especially with the mystery surrounding his references to death and destiny. We didn’t know if he and Boruto would eventually reach an understanding like Naruto and Kurama did. We have many questions surrounding Momoshiki, and it’s connected to Shibai Otsutsuki.

Speaking of Shibai, I expect that in 2025, we’ll learn much more about him, perhaps through Amado or even someone else—maybe a new Otsutsuki will make an appearance, possibly even the one missing from the tablet. We need to understand how Jigen came into possession of Shibai’s remains. What are the chances that this all-powerful, godlike being would decide Earth was a good enough place to leave his body behind and ascend to another plane of existence? What drove him to make such a decision? Was he somewhat forced to do this? Was he defeated so badly by someone else that this was his only option? If it were Jigen, it’s clear that he wouldn’t even stand a chance against him. So, what is the missing piece of the puzzle? That’s what I expect to uncover in 2025 regarding Shibai and his connection to Boruto.

Returning to Momoshiki, I noticed that his silence over the past three years has something to do with Shibai. This might explain why Momoshiki hasn’t communicated with Boruto during this time. Do you know what would be interesting to see in the coming year? Perhaps my top three things I’d like to see:

  1. The history of the prominent family. I’d love to see their planet or even their universe—to see the leader of the Otsutsuki race. It would be fascinating if Kishimoto showed this to us because we’ve known about the prominent branch for years. So much information is tied to this subject, and I hope we’ll see more about them.
  2. I’d love to explore Momoshiki’s past. Why did he end up with an adoptive father, and what happened to his birth parents? There are many unanswered questions, and possibly Boruto might be the bridge between the two worlds.
  3. Moving on to Sarada, Kishimoto must create a grand future for her—not only because she’s the last remaining Kaguya but also because she has, on multiple occasions, changed Boruto’s destiny. Perhaps she’s the key to changing Jura’s fate, where Jura is meant to kill him during their fight, just as Kawaki was supposed to kill Boruto but didn’t, thanks to Sarada’s intervention.

If Himawari were also to learn the truth and Kawaki stayed by Boruto’s side until they eliminated the Shinju, destiny could be changed if everyone worked with him.

And finally, we arrive at something many are eager to see: Will the manga truly take a darker turn, as Ikemoto, the artist working alongside Kishimoto, has suggested? I predict that in 2025, a significant character will die. That character is most likely going to be Code. At some point, when his plan inevitably fails, even though Jura feels indebted to him for being alive, he will kill Code.

We already know Code cannot kill Boruto unless he resorts to something drastic like kidnapping Himawari. This scenario is entirely plausible. Why not? In the next chapter, we’ll see him abduct her and use her as bait to lure Boruto. Let’s not forget that Kashin Koji warned Boruto that Jura would kill both him and his sister. This could create a perfect setup to bring Boruto face-to-face with Jura.

Another character who I don’t think will survive for long is Kashin Koji. At some point, something will happen to him, and he will no longer be able to assist Boruto. Either Kawaki will trap him in Daikokuten, or he’ll kill him to prevent him from helping Boruto.

Since we’re talking about Daikokuten, more people may be introduced to that dimension. Individuals discovering Kawaki’s lies may be silenced by being sealed away in that space. Another thing I want to mention is that Mitsuki will give his life to protect Boruto as well. Even Orochimaru may put some limits on Mitsuki’s abilities, just as Amado did with Kawaki’s power.
